Notas: Resumen: Denis Lessard shares the fruit of his university research on the organization, preservation and communication of the archives of artist-run visual arts centres. He summarizes the objectives of his research, explains his methodology (review of written sources and interviews with coordinators of artist-run centres and with archivist responsible for the acquisition and processing of visual arts archival fonds); he concludes his presentation with a proposal for a classification plan specific to this type of institution. The archives of these centres are essential sources for the study of art ; the author therefore strongly promotes their processing, safekeeping and communication. following the example of management of the archives of publishing houses and architectural firms, the author would like to see the development of a guide for the processing of the archives of artist-run centres. Finally, he supports the notion of holding visual arts archives in a common repository
