Notes: Resumen: Leafcasting is not only a fast conservation technique, but also provides superior aesthetic quality and homogeneity between the old paper and the new fill. The influence of polymers such as starch and cellulose ether surface coating on the properties of teafcast paper was researched in the framework of a project titled "Optimization of conservation leaf casting technique". The aim of the research was to optimize the effect of different types of starch and methylcellulose used for leafcasting.
