Collective catalogue of the Network of Libraries of the State Archives


The Collective Catalogue of the Network of Libraries of the State Archives gathers the bibliographic descriptions of the bottoms of the skilled libraries of the State Archives and of the Centre of Documentary Information of Archives (CIDA), all they dependent of the General Sub-directorate of State Archives of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain. It is the main source of information and diffusion of our collections and is coordinated by the CIDA.

It has, roughly, 184.000 bibliographic registers, 221.000 registers of copy and 211.000 registers of authority, of textual material monograph and seriado, brochures and other special materials, as cartographic and electronic.

The matters that cover our collections are mainly the archival, the archives and his affine sciences (documentation, history, palaeography, diplomatic, numismatist, new technologies of the information and the communication, etc). Besides, each archive possesses skilled bibliographic collections in the historical periods to which allude the batches of documents that house.

Our bottoms treat to cover the relative information to the Spanish batches of documents and iberoamericanos, treating to support the documentary investigations on all the Hispanic cultures.

In the actuality, is working  in the preparation of digital repositories of part of these collections of library with the aim to give them to know and spread them, by means of technologies of metadatos, through national projects like Hispanic and international like APNet and Europeana, that recolectarán our repositories and will give them to know to the international community.
